Interim Performance Analyst (Education and Skills Performance Team)

Pay Rate: £300.00 per day PAYE
Hours per week: 37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours
Role Length: This opening assignment is for 3 months
City: BOURNEMOUTH
We’re looking for an experienced analyst to join the Education and Skills Performance team on a short-term basis, with a focus on SEND and Inclusion. You’ll play a key role in supporting statutory requirements, the upcoming SEND inspection, and the broader transformation journey.
Working closely with Team Managers, colleagues across Education & Skills Services, the Children’s Services Performance Team, Data and Analytics, and external partners, you’ll gather and analyze data to guide and support the service’s strategic direction.
Key duties:
Assist in reviewing and updating monthly performance scorecards, ensuring correct KPIs, data comparability, and up-to-date benchmarks.
Help implement and improve the performance framework by enhancing scorecards and identifying efficient ways to share data (e.g., Power BI).
Collaborate with the business and system support teams to ensure data accuracy in source systems.
Assist the Performance Manager and Head of Service with data extraction and identifying relevant data sources.
Support the SEND OFSTED/CQC inspection preparations as needed.
Provide support with statutory returns.
Key requirements:
Relevant degree (or equivalent experience)
Advanced relevant professional qualification (or equivalent experience) with clearly evidenced continuous professional development and understanding of industry best practice
Specialist knowledge of regulatory frameworks within children’s services, including local practice standards, and a sound understanding of the risks of non-compliance.
Extensive experience of working within or alongside children’s services, with particular specialisms in certain fields (for example social care, SEND, education, early help or others).
Experience working with children's services background (SEND & inclusion focus)
Experience of preparing and presenting complex reports to senior managers and governance boards
Excellent IT skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerBI.
Ability to manage complex processes to fixed deadlines
Able to analyse and present complex information swiftly and accurately (incl. to Director and Members)
