Queen Alexandra Charity is a registered charity supporting education, residential services and community services for young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. We have a mission to ‘empower young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities to achieve their ambitions and to lead fulfilling lives’, achieved through our four service areas - College, Community, Residential and Enterprises.
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who shares our QAC Values, to be the operational lead for HR; building capability within the organisation and sharing an ethos of high-quality service and HR professionalism. This generalist role involves line management and co-ordination of the HR Team, managing operational activities across all aspects of HR and the employee journey.
Key to this role is developing and maintaining positive and collaborative working relationships with QAC managers, employees and stakeholders, establishing professional credibility and supporting the further development of our management teams. As part of a growing and developing organisation of c.450 employees you will also be involved in organisational change, project work and strategic developments for the Charity, in conjunction with the Director of People.

About You To be successful in the role you will need:
· CIPD qualification (minimum level 5) and current CIPD membership
· Knowledge and experience of the practical application of current UK employment legislation
· Experience of managing people and resources, with the ability to lead and motivate others to deliver objectives.
· Experience of managing complex and sensitive casework
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships, work collaboratively and influence with credibility.
· People-focused approach, with a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and able to identify with and demonstrate QAC Values.
