The Role
As Bid Manager, you will play a crucial role in securing new business opportunities and driving the organisation’s tendering success. Working across multiple divisions, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process, ensuring submissions are compelling, strategic, and aligned with the firm's goals. This is a fast-paced role requiring excellent project management skills, strong stakeholder engagement, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project manage tender submissions from initial qualification through to final submission and post-bid review.
* Develop winning themes and strategies that differentiate the firm’s offering from competitors.
* Draft and refine high-quality bid responses that are clear, compelling, and aligned with client needs.
* Maintain and update a library of bid content, ensuring the firm can efficiently respond to future opportunities.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, legal teams, and business development, to gather and present key information.
* Research procurement cycles and engage with key client organisations to identify upcoming opportunities.
* Analyse and improve bid processes, ensuring continuous development and best practices are implemented.
* Provide input into lessons learned sessions, enhancing future bid strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in bid management and tender writing, ideally within a professional services environment.
* Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and persuasive bid content.
* Experience managing both private and public sector tender opportunities.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, working effectively with internal teams and senior leadership.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to deliver under pressure.
* Knowledge of design software (e.g., InDesign) and an understanding of bid best practices (APMP qualification) would be advantageous but not essential.
