We are looking to recruit a motivated & innovative Dietitian to join us as an Acute Clinical Lead Dietitian for both acute sites. The successful post holder will be based at Conquest Hospital.
We will consider a Band 6-7 developer for the right candidate.
You will be the clinical lead supporting the development, implementation, and evaluation of a high-quality acute nutrition service across both sites. Your main clinical focus will be to support the dietetic care of surgical and ICU patients.

Main duties of the job
As clinical lead, you will manage specialist nutrition & dietetic care for patients referred for nutritional advice in acute hospitals, including oral nutrition support, enteral & parenteral nutrition, assessment & treatment. You will plan and prioritize your clinical caseload, including adult inpatients, critical care wards, and other comorbidities as directed by the Head of Service.
Part of the role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring training for patients and professionals within the dietetics pathway, in collaboration with other clinical & team lead Dietitians.
You will support line management of acute roles and develop service improvement projects with other clinical & team leads.
To develop, implement, and evaluate a seamless nutrition service across surgical & ICU pathways from acute to community, you will regularly audit services and participate in research. You will aim to improve patient care standards and promote multidisciplinary team collaboration alongside relevant MDT members and the Service/Professional Lead for Dietetics.
This role includes being a core member of the complex nutrition multidisciplinary team meeting (MDM) and jointly leading regular nutrition ward rounds.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* 4-year degree in Dietetics or equivalent
* Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
* Evidence of ongoing professional development to Masters level or equivalent
* Postgraduate training in behavioral change techniques
Experience
* Extensive general dietetic practice and specialist surgery dietetic experience
* Experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition
* Assessment and treatment of new patients
* Patient and professional group education
* Training of Student Dietitians and computer-aided dietary assessment
* Experience with critical care patients
