Salary Range: £6,722 - £6,829 plus £404 SEN Allowance per annum
Hours: 12 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 1.00 pm - 4.00 pm
Job Share, Term Time Only, 38 weeks plus additional hours on INSET days as needed or to support staff admin absences
We are currently seeking a Receptionist who will be based at our main school site located in Woodley on a job share basis.
This is a challenging and varied role for an exceptional receptionist to manage the smooth running of the reception desk and provide quality administrative support as part of our supportive and friendly team. The successful candidate will be able to adapt to the many demands of the role and this will include, but is not limited to;
* Working on the school reception, meeting and greeting visitors, answering the phone and adhering to the school’s safeguarding policy
* Preparing stationery orders and ensuring supplies are in stock including photocopy paper
* Planning and managing school photographs for pupils
* Maintaining the school mini bus diary, holding/issuing keys and maintaining a log for signing in/out of contractor swipe cards
* Various administrative tasks to support the wider admin team and leadership including some secretarial support, typing of minutes, letters etc., daily chasing of classes to remind them to complete their registers
* Opening and sorting all incoming mail and preparing (stamp, weigh) outgoing mail
* Point of contact for fire evacuations and point of contact for the alarm monitoring station.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills with a positive attitude and commitment to promoting the ethos and values of the school.
Proficient in the use of IT (Microsoft Office, Email etc), you will have the ability to work with all levels of staff and will remain calm under pressure. You will have a flexible and adaptable approach and will be willing to support, on occasions, to cover absence within the admin team in Woodley and at our other school site located in Farley Hill.
You will have previous experience of reception/office administration and will have excellent organisational skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
