The organisation has delivered on time, to budget and safely in major projects such as: Midland Main Line (MMLE), Glasgow to Barrhead (GBE) and many others across the country.
Based in the company headquarters in Coatbridge, the Finance Manager will provide day-to-day duties as part of SPL Powerlines UK Ltd and P&I Resourcing. Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager is responsible for the budget planning and supports the executive management team by providing assistance, information and advice that will help faciliate optimal business decisions for the company.
Key responsibilities:
1. Collecting, establishing, analysing and interpreting and reviewing financial information on a periodical basis.
2. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
3. Ensure all financial reports comply with legal requirements and company policies.
4. Analyse financial performance and prepare variance analysis reports.
5. Develop and manage the annual budget (including sales, costs, staff, etc) and the relevant forecasts.
6. Monitor and report on budget performance, identifying any variances and recommending corrective actions.
7. Support departmental managers in budgeting and forecasting activities.
8. Act as a financial support for the projects / project controlling
9. Contribute to the development of financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability.
10. Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
11. Evaluate financial implications of new projects and initiatives.

13. Producing financial reports related to Budgets, Forecasts, KPI's (payables, receivables, utilisation, etc.)
14. Establishing, reviewing, monitoring and managing budgets
15. Providing advice to the Senior Management to develop strategies that work to minimise the financial risk.
16. Ownership/Leading the development, strategy and implementing of ERP systems - in connections with Powerlines Group
17. Monitoring, analysing, reporting cash flow development
18. Reporting and interfacing with Group finance and all relevant reporting, analysis, etc.
19. Dealing with tax issues in relation to the running business but also for year end
20. Managing the Statutory accounts and being the interface to the Financial Auditor and to make sure that these accounts are in line with the finance and accountancy regulations
Experience required:
21. Fully qualified (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualifying experience in a senior finance role
22. Willingness and flexibility to travel (UK but also continental Europe)
23. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
24. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
25. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Salary will be within the range of £60,000 - £70,000 plus a benefits package including:
