Our partner, BAE Systems, are looking for experienced Electricians to join their growing team in Glasgow on a 12 month contract, with competitive pay rates on offer for both locals and those commuting from further afield.

What will I be doing?
As an Electrician, you'll take the lead on installing a wide range of cables, including multi-core, single core, co-axle, and fibre optic. You'll also install electrical systems, such as junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, switches, etc.
Outside of this, you'll support on a range of activities including cable reeving, banding and terminations, and the alignment and installation of all electrical equipment.
You'll carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure that equipment runs efficiently, troubleshooting any electrical issues that you identify. You'll work closely with other team members and departments to make sure that projects are completed on time, providing technical support and guidance where needed.
What do I need to succeed?
You're an experienced Electrician, with either an NVQ Level 3 Qualification in a relevant subject, or a time served Apprenticeship in a relevant trade.
You're comfortable reading and working from technical electrical drawings and have a good understanding of electrical systems and components. You're a strong communicator, with a real attention to detail, and a drive to consistently meet safety standards and regulations.
You'll also need to be eligible for SC clearance, due to the secure nature of this Defence project.
Pay rates:

PAYE - If travelling within 39 miles of work location:
* Standard Shift - £19.40 per hour
* Weekend and Night Shift - £25.80 per hour
* Weekday and Saturday OT - £31.52 per hour
* Sunday OT - £42.02 per hour
Umbrella - If travelling within 39 miles of work location:
* Standard Shift - £25.22 per hour
* Weekend and Night Shift - £33.36 per hour
* Weekday and Saturday OT - £35.43 per hour
* Sunday OT - £47.20 per hour
PAYE - If travelling more than 39 miles to work location:
* Standard Shift - £27.40 per hour
* Weekend and Night Shift - £33.80 per hour
* Weekday and Saturday OT - £31.52 per hour
* Sunday OT - £42.02 per hour
Umbrella - If travelling more than 39 miles to work location:
* Standard Shift - £35.62 per hour
* Weekend and Night Shift - £43.76 per hour
* Weekday and Saturday OT - £35.77 per hour
* Sunday OT - £47.43 per hour
