The Position
Reporting to the CEO, the General Manager of Operations (Ag Services) plays a key part in driving the success of 1 of the business models. Focussing on delivering services and influential relationships with the team, communities and customers, it requires a visionary leader who can oversee day to day cropping operations whilst strategically guiding the company’s growth through meeting customer’s needs.
You will be responsible for all aspects of farming operations, commodity handling and asset improvement which includes:
* Maximising the customer’s value
* Management of land and equipment assets
* Team leadership and development
* Financial management
The Person
We are particularly interested in speaking to you if you possess the following experience, key skills and attributes:
* Successful track record in operational leadership within the agricultural or farming sector
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing teams, fostering a positive work environment
* Experience in managing customer relationships, building strong partnerships and delivering exceptional service
* Strong understanding of modern farming practices, grain handling including sustainable principles
* Proficiency in agricultural technology including precision agriculture, farm management software and data analytics
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data driven approach to decision making
* Excellent financial acumen including budget management, cost control and performance analysis
