The Role:
We are working with a main contractor who are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a major highways and infrastructure scheme. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading key sections of work, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage a section of works, supervising site teams and supply chain.
2. Plan, monitor, and drive project progress, leading daily LEAN meetings.
3. Take full ownership of project costs, working with the commercial team.
4. Identify and manage any changes in scope across operations, design, and commercial aspects.
5. Implement and oversee temporary works and value engineering solutions.
6. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
7. Attend external meetings with clients and stakeholders, building strong relationships.
8. Ensure site teams and subcontractors work to the latest design specifications.
9. Monitor material orders, take-offs, and reconciliations.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Project Manager in highways, infrastructure, or civil engineering.
2. Ability to manage multiple work packages simultaneously.
3. Strong knowledge of CDM 2015, NEC contracts, and highway regulations.
4. SMSTS & CSCS certification.
5. HNC or higher in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
