Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Registered Nurse Associate to join our dynamic team working in Main Outpatients, Breast Clinics, Orthopedic Outpatients and the Elective Treatment Suite and are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Nursing Associate to work with our team in the Outpatients Department. To apply for this post you must be a registered Nursing Associate with an NMC Pin or due to qualify with 2 months or close to qualifying soon as a Nursing Associate.
The duties will involve assisting with Gynae and Urology procedures, The Admission and Discharge process for patients. Also working within main Outpatients as well. There is lots of opportunity to enhance knowledge and be supported with Personal Development.
The Nursing Associate will provide holistic and person-centred care and support for people across the sphere of nursing and always communicating effectively within the team, with other healthcare professionals and with the patient family, carers / visitors.
The Nursing Associate will work independently but with the support and leadership of registered nurses, working within aspects of the nursing process to ensure high standards and a safe environment are maintained.

Main duties of the job
1. Undertake clinical tasks agreed within competence to the specific clinical area
2. Support individuals with all aspects of care including daily living, providing person-centered care and promoting health and independence
3. To implement a plan of care which is in accordance with the patient's individual care needs and the predicted date of patient discharge
4. To support and maintain patient safety by undertaking clinical risk assessments and utilising the clinical incident reporting system.
5. Ensure the privacy, dignity and safety of individuals is always maintained.
6. Demonstrate the ability to recognise changing priorities seeking advice and guidance from the Registered Nurse or other registered care professionals as appropriate.
7. Work within the principles of informed consent and ensure valid consent is obtained prior to undertaking nursing and care procedures
8. Improve the quality of care by contributing to the continuous monitoring of people's experience of care.
9. To recognise situations, behaviours or errors that could result in poor care / outcomes and report to manager / trained nurse any untoward incidences ( complaints, accidents, defective equipment) and take appropriate action to ensure safety of patients, staff and relatives
10. To undertake all nursing procedures in accordance with Trust policies and ensure that these procedures and policies are understood and adhered to by all staff, within own management responsibility.
