Rolls-Royce Electrical and Electronics Degree Apprenticeship - Solihull, UK
Job Description
Electrical and Electronics Degree Apprenticeship
Starting salary: £20,735 per year
Location: Solihull
Duration: 4 years
As an Electrical and Electronics Degree Apprentice, you'll be working on electric and hybrid-electric drive systems, gas turbine engines like UltraFan, and electronic engine controls. All of these are helping us achieve our ultimate ambition of reaching net zero carbon emissions for our business and our customers.
Rolls-Royce designs, builds and services the world's most vital technologies, providing critical power to customers where safety and reliability are paramount.
We've been a force for progress for over 100 years. And it's what's fuelling our next chapter as we power, protect, and connect people everywhere. That's our vision for you, too. Join us and we'll provide an environment where you can be yourself. An inclusive culture that invests in you and gives you access to opportunities where you can grow your career and make a difference.
The programme
Over four years, you'll develop invaluable technical skills. Working with world-class experts, you'll learn on the job, working on everything from digital and analogue design, all the way through to testing and manufacturing. Alongside this, you'll study for your Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Warwick.
What you'll do
Day to day, you'll be part of exciting work based in our state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility. From research, design and test, to build, modify and develop, every stage of development is done under one roof. It's an unrivalled environment where you can apply the theory you've learned as part of your degree. And be inspired to do work you can be proud of.
What you'll need
* Five GCSEs which must include Maths at grade 5/B, plus English Language and three other subjects at grade 4/C.
* 112 UCAS points (obtained or predicted) from either:
o Three A-Levels at grade BBC, including Maths at Grade B or above, and ideally an Engineering or STEM related subject (excluding Biology and General Studies) plus one other subject
o A Level 3 Extended BTEC Diploma in an Engineering or STEM-related subject, along with A-Level Maths at grade B.
If you have equivalent qualifications, please contact us.
Every bit as important as your academic achievements, however, are the personal qualities you bring to the role. You'll need to be an agile thinker, creative problem-solver, someone who's willing to learn and ready to work as part of a team.
Beyond that, we're looking for people who understand the nature of integrated power and thermal management. And can show a real interest in electrical and electronics and the future of sustainable power.
Our behaviours drive us - we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. We'll expect that of you, too.
What you'll get
* A competitive starting salary with annual pay rises
* Fully sponsored Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Warwick
* 33 days' holiday per year (including bank holidays)

* A choice of voluntary benefits including discounts at nationwide stores, gyms, discounted health care, free digital GP, Cycle to Work scheme and more all available on our TotalReward portal
