We are looking for a part time or full time Estates Officer at Greenshaw Learning Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to join GLT and become an integral member of the Estates team.
The shared service estates team is responsible for supporting schools in their management and development of the estates to provide students and staff with high quality, effective learning environments. Our team ensures the Trust portfolio is managed safely, cost effectively, and operates efficiently and in line with statutory requirements.
Greenshaw Learning Trust is a highly successful multi academy trust that provides excellent quality, comprehensive, non-selective and inclusive education through primary schools and secondary schools. Our schools are based in London, Surrey, Berkshire, Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire, Bristol and Plymouth.
We also have three shared service hubs with remote / hybrid working opportunities where appropriate. We are building a family of like-minded schools, that collaborate to provide mutual support, share their good practice and learn from each other, whilst retaining and developing their own distinctive character. Main responsibilities:
• Contribute to the estates function by providing admin support to the HoE and SREMs
• To support the estate team in the development and monitoring of the trust estates management strategy and school development plans.
• Provide guidance and support to new schools joining the trust in compliance and estates management procedures.
• Support the estates team in ensuring an effective compliance estates service to the Trust that is in line with the DfE Good Estates Management for Schools Guidance.
• Support the HoE in creating and developing a trust wide Estates Development Plans from all schools in order to prioritise funding for capital projects across the trust.
• Support the HoE and REMs with project management administration to include minute taking, monitoring project updates, PO and invoice processing.
You will need:
• Previous experience of compliance and health and safety management.
• Experience managing contractors and working with outsourced providers.
• Good working knowledge of management and maintenance of buildings, mechanical, electrical and other infrastructure systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to communicate to senior members of staff, colleagues and contractors.
