About the Team: As the window of TikTok's business services, our TikTok UED Monetization team aims to enable clients to effortlessly connect with audiences and maximize brand potential. As a team member here, you will utilize mixed methods to collect user feedback, create a deep understanding and empathy for our customers, and work cross-functionally with design, product, and marketing teams to meet business needs.
In this role, you will:
1. Lead strategic research to identify novel product opportunities and conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences.
2. Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs, and online experiments (A/B testing).
3. Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
4. Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research.
5. Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
1. At least 5 years of experience working in UX Research.
2. Experience utilizing various research design methods (i.e., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.).
3. Relevant product research experience, either in an end-to-end, usability, or generative setting.
4. Ability to take initiative and ownership of the program with an entrepreneurial mindset.
5. Proven ability to lead creative projects, solve complex problems using data, and inspire the team to think outside the box.
6. Experienced or interested in monetization products and product design processes.
7. Passionate about contributing and building an outstanding and industry-leading design community.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Passionate about TikTok products and user experience.
2. Experience leading strategic research efforts and integrating user research into product designs.
3. Comfortable dealing with conflicts, solving ambiguous and open-ended problems independently.
4. Collaborative, establish relationships quickly, and have experience influencing and working with multiple cross-functional partners, including leaders.
5. Willingness to travel to the United States for 2 to 3 weeks per quarter for business purposes.
6. Striving to be a subject matter expert in your space and consistently improving the design processes and operations.
7. Excellent in handling challenging and dynamic changing environments.
