We are seeking a motivated and proactive PE Teaching Assistant to join the sports department of a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) school in Stockton-on-Tees. This full-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to work with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students in a supportive and dynamic environment.
- Assist in delivering engaging Physical Education lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
- Utilise your knowledge of sport and coaching to support student learning and development.
- Manage behaviour effectively, fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
- Provide tailored support to students with challenging behaviours or within a PRU setting.
- Previous experience working in a UK school setting.
- A relevant Sports/Physical Education degree or coaching qualifications.
- GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
- Ideally hold a teaching qualification (e.g., QTS/QTLS) or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
- Up-to-date safeguarding training (desirable but not mandatory).
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional, child-related references.
