A warm and inclusive SEN school in Cheltenham is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their complex needs team on a full-time basis for the remainder of the academic year.
The school specialises in supporting pupils aged 11-18 with severe learning difficulties, complex needs, and co-occurring conditions such as Autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and communication challenges.
With a focus on nurturing each pupil's academic and holistic development, the school offers a personalised curriculum tailored to meet individual needs. Their dedicated staff team works collaboratively to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students are empowered to reach their full potential.
- Support pupils with severe learning difficulties and co-occurring conditions.
- Contribute to personalised learning plans and curriculum delivery.
- Work collaboratively with a skilled team to deliver a nurturing, engaging learning environment.
- Assist in managing challenging behaviours while promoting positive interactions.
- Experience: Previous experience working with young people or adults with SEN (personal or professional).
- Knowledge: A solid understanding of the SEN curriculum.
- Feedback: A proven record of good or outstanding feedback from observations or performance reviews.
- Attributes: Creative, articulate, and dedicated, with strong classroom management skills.
- Team Player: Positive, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting SEN pupils.
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Have an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years.
- Accredited professional development courses, including safeguarding and behaviour management.
- Access to an in-house Training and Development Team to support your growth.
