Laboratory Scientist II We are looking for a Laboratory Scientist II to join our Product Support Technical team. Your new role: In your new role as Laboratory Scientist II, you will be accountable to the Operations Technical Lead, for the identification, leadership and execution of continuous improvement projects and for undertaking activities to maintain delivery of New Product Introductions as part of the Plate Test Development Team to serve our internal customers. Duties range from execution of lab work utilizing a range of practical techniques, instrumentation and data analysis through to managing compliance with all relevant quality and safety systems. What you’ll be doing: Lab Delivery – Performing practical laboratory work without the need for supervision. Troubleshooting common issues with limited input from others. Acting as equipment SME for one key business area. Continuous Improvement Projects - Identifies, leads and executes technically driven continuous improvement projects. Responsible for ensuring staff and department compliance with all local, national, international and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance. Responsible for training lab personnel Responsible for delivery of own assigned projects as an individual contributor. Drive and coordinate continuous improvements of processes and operate within the group to provide consistently high levels of customer service. Assist in the implementation of improvements as directed and remain open minded to innovative concepts and ideas. What you’ll need to succeed: A minimum education level of degree standard in a relevant Scientific discipline, coupled with prior relevant work experience. Proven understanding of immunoassay/immunohematology from industry experience. Proven track record of leading/contributing to cross-functional teams within a regulated operational or technical environment. Knowledge of Operations/Manufacturing Able to demonstrate effective teamwork & collaboration skills cross functionally. Demonstrates situational adaptability skills, to respond to rapid change and maintain output in a dynamic and changing environment whilst meeting project timelines. Excellent practical laboratory skills Ability to record experimental work accurately and to perform data manipulation & analysis. Familiarity with Process Excellence tools. Good working knowledge of Microsoft office tools for communication and reporting. Minitab or other statistical analysis experience is desirable but not essential. Six Sigma Process Excellence certification is desirable but not essential. Working knowledge of validation procedures is desirable but not essential. What we offer: Competitive Salary.
