The Role: This rewarding position involves providing targeted support to a small number of children in Year 5 with suspected ADHD and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will: Provide one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils to focus and engage with their learning. Implement strategies to manage behaviour, build confidence, and support emotional regulation. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions that meet individual learning and social development needs. Foster a calm and structured learning environment where children feel supported and valued. Encourage positive social interactions and develop pupils' independence. The Ideal Candidate: The school is looking for a caring, proactive, and resilient individual who: Has experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2, ideally in a mentoring, pastoral, or Learning Support Assistant role. Has an understanding of ADHD and SEMH needs, with strategies to support focus, emotional well-being, and behaviour management. Can build positive relationships with children, encouraging confidence and self-esteem. Is patient, adaptable, and able to respond to the needs of individual pupils. Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
