Monday to Friday Days only (8 hour shifts)
£45,000 - £64,000 + Excellent benefits package, car allowance and overtime available!
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join a large global manufacturer on a permanent basis. This is a days-based role, working sociable hours Monday to Friday. The Principal Electrical Engineer will be required to lead a team of engineers, mentoring and coaching and creating an engaging working environment. I am searching for someone who has a logical and methodical approach and can be relied upon to see the job through to the end. The successful Principal Electrical Engineer will be a natural problem solver, tenacious, and will use creativity, innovation, and an analytical approach to exhaust all options until a solution is found. A proactive attitude with a flair for quick and efficient learning equips you well to adapt to the latest technologies.
The role also involves the following duties:
1. Management of capital projects from initial feasibility study to final close out ensuring KPI’s for safety, cost, time & specification are met.
2. Lead root cause failure analysis and 4 step problem solving. Ensure actions are completed and closed out and shared with relevant parties.
3. Champion, role model and continuously improve all safety requirements, including the supervision of the technical support team and contractors, including the Permit to Work process, Risk assessments, and method statements.
4. Complete hands-on planned and reactive maintenance across the site, as well as leading work on any ongoing and upcoming projects. The company has heavily invested into this site and has a strong pipeline of project work!
Requirements for the Principal Electrical Engineer:
1. Electrical Bias
2. Must be able to PLC programme
3. Degree level or apprentice trained with excellent experience
4. Able to mentor/train members of the team
5. Manufacturing, packaging or FMCG background
6. Instrumentation experience
7. Experience with safety circuits
8. Experience with high voltage distribution systems
