Join to apply for the Imaging Assistant role at Venture & Agents.
OPEN EVENING TUESDAY 8TH APRIL 5PM-8PM
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our existing team of Imaging Assistants in the Radiology Department (no previous experience required) - full and part-time opportunities available.
In both roles you will need to be able to work effectively in a team, often under pressure whilst remaining calm and maintaining professional boundaries at all times. You will be expected to assist members of the imaging team in delivering a high standard of care. Roles will also encompass clerical, technical and caring duties as allocated under the direction and supervision of the radiologist, radiology nurse, radiographer or sonographer in charge of the area, and following Trust Policies and Procedures at all times.
Main duties of the job
Imaging Assistants - Ultrasound (Band 2)
Ultrasound Assistants help with all aspects of preparation and aftercare for patients undergoing ultrasound procedures to ensure appropriate care before, during and after the procedure. You will also chaperone patients and be responsible for the tidiness and cleanliness of all patient areas.
Successful candidates will need to be able to take part in a flexible shift rota that covers duties from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. covering a seven-day week.
Imaging Assistants - Radiology (Band 2 to 3 development role)
We also have roles for those who wish to gain skills and experience in a range of diagnostic scans and equipment (e.g. MRI and CT). You will play an important role in caring for and preparing patients during their time in the department, as well as cleanliness of the environment. This is a developmental role with the opportunity for progression, subject to achieving relevant competencies.
Successful candidates will need to be able to take part in a flexible shift pattern including a mixture of short and long days that covers duties from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. covering a seven-day week; evenings and weekends in rota.
