About the Role:
The EC&I Maintenance Team Leader will oversee the maintenance and inspection of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems across multiple assets. Reporting to the Instrument & Electrical Superintendent, you will lead a team of skilled technicians, ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with UK/European legislation and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of EC&I technicians, providing training, coaching, and performance management.
* Oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and compliance with regulations.
* Develop, implement, and review maintenance procedures, safety instructions, and management systems for EC&I systems.
* Ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and other relevant safety and engineering standards.
* Provide technical support for fault-finding, repairs, and inspection findings to maintain the fitness of assets.
* Manage and review critical spare parts stock levels for EC&I assets.
* Conduct audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
* Support the delivery and review of Functional Safety and safety-instrumented systems.
* Act as a Competent Person for Low Voltage systems, operating and maintaining them across the assets.
* Collaborate with the maintenance management team to meet evolving engineering challenges.
What We’re Looking For:
* Recognised Engineering Craft/Technician apprenticeship in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control.
* Minimum of ONC/HNC in a relevant discipline with 5+ years of industry experience post-apprenticeship.
* Proven experience in EC&I maintenance supervision and strong knowledge of associated processes.
* Familiarity with legislation such as the Electricity at Work Regulations and Functional Safety standards.
* Competency in project management tools and principles, including Microsoft Project.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage resources effectively, including staff, contractors, and budgets
