About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Class Teacher to work in a vibrant school setting in Retford, Nottinghamshire. This is a temporary position, Monday to Friday, running from September 2024 to February 2025. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in preparing Year 6 students for their transition to secondary school, ensuring they achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
Key responsibilities of a Year 6 Class Teacher include:
* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and social development of each child.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets for improvement.
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student learning and well-being.
* Prepare students for SATs, ensuring they are confident and well-prepared.

About You:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 6, is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
