Accounts Payable Deputy Manager - Country Court, Werrington, Peterborough PE4 6NA Hours: 35 Hours per week (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday) Country Court is a family-run company and is one of the fastest growing national care home provider in the UK. We have over 45 care homes with further acquisitions and openings already scheduled & we have a fantastic opportunity for a Accounts Payable Deputy Manager to join us at our Central Services based in Werrington, Peterborough. We create extraordinary care homes, so we’re looking for extraordinary people to join our team As the Accounts Payable Deputy Manager you will be AAT qualified or above and will be working closely with the Accounts Payable Manager. Some of the Accounts Payable Deputy Manager key responsibilities will Include: Supporting the Accounts Payable Team and Manager: Ensuring smooth transactions, payments, and processing, while managing your own invoicing areas. Ensuring accounts processes follow policies, procedures, and timeframes. Month-End Reconciliations: Ensuring the Purchase Ledger is up to date by reconciling authorisations and postings. Preparing and processing payments, refunds, corrections, and supplier payment runs. Liaising with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve queries. Handling company credit card journal postings and reconciliations. Assisting with prepayment reconciliations and accrual entries. Invoice Processing: Matching, coding, and processing supplier invoices daily. Ensuring invoices are accurate and properly authorised. Supplier Account Management: Setting up new contractors, monitoring, and reconciling supplier accounts. Contributing to process improvements within Accounts Payable. Delivering high levels of customer service internally and externally. About You: We are looking for a proactive and confident person who is able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong understanding of the confidentiality required to work in finance. You will have: Fully AAT qualified or above (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with further training opportunities. Experience with Sage Intacct and working in a finance environment. Confident and friendly demeanor with a strong understanding of confidentiality. High computer literacy and ability to grasp various management systems linked with Sage. Experience in a finance team and knowledge of purchase ledger. Proven experience with IT packages, including SAGE and MS Excel. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet KPIs. Passion for the care sector with a warm and understanding approach. Excellent accuracy and attention to detail. Driven and focused on completing finance processes.
