The role of a Support Worker revolves around helping the people we support live their lives as they choose and could involve: Assisting with jobs around the house Teaching and developing life skills Encouraging the people we support to access the community Accompanying on trips and leisure activities Personal care Taking an interest in the lives of the people we support The only pre-existing skill we ask for is the ability to drive, everything else is about you and your personality. We are looking for people who have a genuine desire to help others and can work effectively as part of a team. It’s vital that you treat the people we support with the respect and dignity that they deserve, if you can marry this with a friendly nature you have all the key ingredients of a great Support Worker. As part of your role, you will be using a digital app called Nourish, where all care and support plans of the people we support are held.
