Flourish Education are recruiting for a Class Teacher to work in year 1 on a full-time and long-term basis in a three-form entry Primary School. Our Client is looking for a Class Teacher to work in year 1,who is creative and hard-working. You will be expected to plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons, mark students work in line with the marking policy, safeguard all students, attend meetings after school and work closely with the Class Teaching Assistant. The school is very supportive and has a highly welcoming atmosphere. The role is specifically working within year 1 and knowledge of phonics and the Phonics Screening Check is essential. As a YClass Teacher, in Year 1 at our client’s school, you will be expected but not limited to plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons, work alongside the Teaching Assistant, safeguard all students, mark student’s work in line with the school policy, attend staff meetings, take part in the playground duty rota and create a positive learning environment. This Class Teacher role in Year 1 is to cover a maternity leave from January 2025 to the end of the acadenic year. However, there may also be scope for a permanent role as of September 2025. You will also be required to go into out client's school for a week before Christmas for a handover from the current Year 1 Class Teacher and to meet the class.
