STADA UK Thornton & Ross – Regulatory Affairs Specialist Apprentice
Huddersfield | U.K. | Full-time | Fixed-Term 36 Months
In this newly created role, our Regulatory Affairs Specialist will support the busy Regulatory Affairs function, responsible for developing and implementing strategies that allow the company to legally develop, manufacture, market and supply our portfolio of products.
Given the broad portfolio of products at T&R, you will have the opportunity to work on and gain exposure to over-the-counter medicines, medical devices, generics, biosimilar and orphan medicines.
This role is specifically aimed at a recent science or engineering graduate who is looking to enter industry, or individuals currently working within Regulatory Affairs that are looking to join a company that can offer both a stimulating role and the structured development that the apprenticeship provides.
Alongside your role as the Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will undertake the 3-year Regulatory Affairs Specialist Apprenticeship (Level 7) Apprenticeship to achieve your qualification through a mixture of on-site and online academic learning through TOPRA (The Organisation for Professionals in Regulatory Affairs).
How You Will Make an Impact
On a day to day basis your key responsibilities will include:
1. Work with colleagues in the department to establish how changes in product regulation will impact our products.
2. Act as the named Regulatory Affairs contact on compliance and product development projects – this could be supporting a product reformulation, changing how we manufacture or test our products.
3. Work with colleagues across the business to form strong partnerships – by helping colleagues to understand the impact of changing regulatory requirements, our obligations as a company, and working to understand their challenges and how we can help them.
4. Engaging with regulatory authorities, trade associations, and external technical service providers.
5. Helping the team prepare and submit product dossiers to achieve timely authority approvals.
6. Helping improve how we work – taking the lead on process improvement initiatives.
7. Celebrate successes! As the team responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance of a diverse portfolio, we face many regulatory and technical challenges – sharing our successes with the wider company allows us to demonstrate the value the team brings to the organisation.
What We Are Looking For
1. Graduated to degree level in a life sciences, engineering or technical degree within the last 2 years (at the equivalent of a 2:2 or above).
2. Experience within the life sciences/FMCG industry is preferable, but not essential.

5. Ability to manage a dynamic and complex personal workload.
6. Flexibility to adjust priorities in line with business needs.
7. Good IT skills with a proven ability to use Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
