The Centre for Global Health Research at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for a Project Manager for a Wellcome-funded international multi-partner and multi-disciplinary Consortium project, looking for immunological Correlates of Protection against invasive Salmonella disease.
The Opportunity:
The position is available for a fixed term of 3 years and 3 months, and involves coordination and close collaboration between varied academic and industrial partners from UK, Europe and Africa (Malawi and DR Congo). In addition to its scientific objectives, the consortium will have a particular additional emphasis on training and capacity building This is a position that may entail occasional international travel for short periods for scientific, collaborative or stakeholder meetings. A working understanding of French would be an advantage.

Your skills and attributes for success:
• Post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline e.g. biosciences, epidemiology, vaccinology, immunology, research methods or equivalent experience
• Good level of experience in clinical trial or health research project co-ordination, particularly with international, LMIC or industrial partners.
• A strong understanding of financial management and data management procedures
• Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills
• Proven ability to work independently, and as part of a varied multidisciplinary team
