What's involved with this role: Interim HR Specialist Advisor for Occupational Health Reference no: Norfolk 1003195615262465 Pay Rate: £24.22 per hour PAYE 37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours This opening assignment is for 5 months City: NORWICH We are looking for an experienced, motivated and suitably qualified Specialist HR Advisor – Occupational Health, to join the successful and enthusiastic team who provide professional in-house leadership, advice and support to its in-house services and employees as well as having a strong traded brand that complements and supports the delivery of services to the County Council. As part of the Health, Safety and Well-being Team you will be a key member of the management team, responsible for managing occ health contract and related services, and be involved in areas of work such as providing professional advice and guidance, developing and delivering policies and strategy, and acting as a focal point, supporting directorates, teams and their managers to identify and address issues that impact on the organisations ability to support employees and traded customers to remain well at work. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist professional advice and guidance to support people management issues, cultural change and strategic priorities. Develop proposals to support development priorities. Identify resources to deliver continuous improvement through the most effective and cost-effective solutions. Provide subject matter expertise on improvement initiatives and projects, ensuring people issues are fully considered. Work with stakeholders to ensure effective improvement and change. Analyse and interpret data to identify and communicate trends. Recommend actions which support the strategic priorities. Build partnerships and work collaboratively with internal/external networks to improve service delivery effectiveness. Ensure that changes are informed by the views of stakeholders. Challenge existing ways of working seeking to deliver process improvement. Share knowledge and promote the development of skills within the HR team. Provide subject matter expertise on improvement initiatives and projects, ensuring people issues are fully considered. Key requirements: Level 6 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Registered Nurse and Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse with NMC Professional knowledge of operational issues within the professional area. Experience of delivering change management initiatives. Experience of working within a project management framework. Experience of dealing sensitively and appropriately with confidential information within an HR environment Experience of working as an occupational health nurse and delivery of occupational health services in a variety of settings and with a variety of employees Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information to senior management and other stakeholders. Negotiation and influencing skills to build support for ideas and plans to achieve outcomes, effect change and deliver services.
