As a Community Partnerships Producer at Historic Royal Palaces (HRP), you will play a key role in creating inclusive, accessible, and sustainable programmes that engage under-represented groups living near our palaces. Working closely with community partners, you will help remove barriers ensuring our palaces, programmes, and stories are inclusive, accessible and resonate with local people.
You will lead and expand the community programme at Kensington Palace, engaging people of all ages and abilities. Managing established programmes such as the Community Access Scheme, annual Community Festival, Warm Space, and programmes for children and young people, you will also introduce new initiatives, including dementia-friendly and health and wellbeing programmes. Your work will strengthen our community partnerships, offering practical support to foster a greater sense of belonging within the local community.
Collaboration is key. You will work with the Community Partnerships Manager and fellow Producers to co-create meaningful projects, ensuring that community voices, needs, and interests are reflected. Through your efforts, you will advance Historic Royal Palaces' commitment to diversity, accessibility, equity, and inclusion.
Your work will break down barriers to accessing our palaces, positioning Historic Royal Palaces as a leader in community engagement and participation, and reinforcing our ambition to be a charity for everyone.
To be successful in this role you will:
1. Have proven experience in developing and delivering community engagement programmes and co-creative projects in heritage or similar settings, with knowledge of inclusive creative practices in the arts, heritage, and community sectors.
2. Be able to demonstrate strong organisational, project, people, and budget management skills, capable of handling multiple projects on and offsite.
3. Possess excellent team working, communication and interpersonal skills, working confidently with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams, community groups, local authorities, funders, and cultural organisations.
4. Understand and be an advocate for the value of community participation within cultural and heritage contexts.
5. Have strong written and verbal communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office and digital platforms.
6. Stay calm under pressure, effectively managing competing priorities in a busy programme, and be flexible with ability to travel and support delivery of our programmes at other HRP sites and offsite.
7. Occasional evening and weekend work, is a requirement of this role.
