August Robotics is an international startup which builds application-specific robots to automate workflows for businesses. The company has offices on three different continents (USA, Germany, China/Hong Kong) and enjoys the support of some of Asia-Pacific's most prolific VC investors.
August Robotics aspires to be at the forefront of the coming "robotics revolution", and has numerous robotic product lines across different sectors of the economy. In Europe, we work predominantly in the exhibition and industrial layout industries, and we are currently building our team in the UK.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* You will install, deploy and operate innovative robot technology in both the exhibition and construction industries.
* You will manage and troubleshoot the company’s fleet of robots in the UK and make sure all robots are running smoothly at all times.
* You will carry out routine, ongoing maintenance of the robots at our workshop and on the client site.
* You will interact with clients and assist them if they encounter any issues operating the robot.
* You will aggregate customer feedback and interact with your August Robotics colleagues to propose and implement new robot features and enhancements.
* You will conduct user training for August Robotics clients and develop training materials accordingly.

YOUR SKILLS
You must have:
* A technical / mechanical background and university degree or diploma from a higher vocational school in Engineering, Mechanics, or a related discipline.
* High degree of initiative, independent thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to details.
* Ability and eagerness to learn new skills.
* Ability to interact with and service August Robotics clients and to present in a professional manner.
* Willingness to spend a significant amount of time on client sites in the UK.
* Willingness to do site work and act as a focal point for coordinating and overseeing the projects.
* Strong communication skills and teamwork capabilities.
* Proficiency in English.
* Eligibility to work in the UK and hold a valid UK Driver’s licence.
* Basic knowledge of both Software and Hardware.
In addition to the above requirements, ALL of which you must demonstrate to be considered for this role, the following skills are helpful but not required:
* Experience in an early/mid stage start-up.
* Familiarity with ROS is extremely advantageous.
* Relevant work experience in Customer Support, System or Technical support role.
* Passionate about emerging technologies.
You should be comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the idea of working in an entrepreneurial culture. You should be open to new experiences, open to learning new things, and willing to jump in and lend a hand on a range of different issues and tasks when the need arises.
