We seek to appoint a part time Welfare Officer responsible for first aid and medical issues for the students and staff at Crofton School. The part time hours will be either 2 or 3 days per week, 8:30 - 3:30.
Applications are welcome from qualified first aiders with an existing first aid at work certificate or the willingness to gain the qualification. The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people, combined with excellent communication skills, resulting in the ability to speak to students in a calm and practical manner. A keen interest in young peoples’ welfare, previous experience of working in education, or in partnership with other agencies would be desirable. Applicants should have the ability to use their initiative and imagination to provide a flexible approach to supporting students, together with a reasonable level of computer literacy skills and a positive and flexible outlook.
