General Description: Ensure that all the Training and Assessment procedures are effective, implemented and amended where applicable. Be able to demonstrate, instruct and deliver relevant training and assessment in products, equipment and/or safety requirements to enable the Business to provide a trained and competent workforce. Develop and maintain a safety critical competence management system that meets the requirements of the business. Responsibilities: • Work as directed by the Head of Training and Development, be able to plan and prioritise own work activities within the training department. • Plan, design, deliver and facilitate training programs to meet the requirements of the business and affiliated standards & regulations. • Assess staff to meet the requirements of competency in compliance with the company standards. • Complete necessary paperwork and maintain staff competency recording systems according to company Procedures and adhere to such procedures. • Reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the organization. • Deliver on site Induction programs for new starters. • Deliver and be responsible for quality of work undertaken and to required standards. • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices. • Encourage a safety-first culture within employees and actively promote the companyvalues at every touch point in order to influence culture change. • Assess and develop production team members and coordinate the delivery of Training and Assessments, whilst monitoring and improving performance, productivity, and quality of work. Education Requirements/Person Specification Desirable • City & Guilds 7331 in Training Techniques including additional units of NVQ competences in training and development B22, C23/C24 or NVQ3 in Training and development or equivalent. • Assessor qualifications A1(D32) and A2 (D33). • Engineering related technical qualifications/Time served Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ Level 3 (Mechatronics/Multi skilled) • Additional NVQ units in demonstration and instructional techniques and IT. • External certification e.g. PTS, Manual handling etc. • Certified to train others in core trade. Essential • Extensive knowledge and application of a wide range of teaching and assessment techniques and traditional and modern methodologies. • Strong verbal, interpersonal, ICT and written skills. • A self-starter who can work independently, likes to take the initiative and is flexible and quick-thinking
