Interim Electrical Engineer

Required to be based in the office for 5 days a week. Flexibility for home working after 3 months.
Key Requirements:
1. Professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers.
2. Knowledge and prior experience of BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations.
3. Membership of the Engineering Council.
4. HNC/HND or equivalent in an Electrical Engineering related discipline.
5. Holds a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain.
6. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Relux, cable calculation software (Trimble/Amtech etc) and Autocad.
7. Experience in a similar related role.
8. Familiar with the risks hazards associated with asbestos, and relevant construction and health and safety knowledge/legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out the design and management of all types of electrical services projects including producing budget estimates, drawings, detailed service specifications, tender documentation and undertaking full contract administration duties on electrical led projects.
2. Promote the use of renewable technologies.
3. Deliver electrical projects in full in accordance with clients’ brief and professional standards.
4. Champion and embed a genuine multi-disciplinary approach to project delivery.
5. Schedule and co-ordinate resources, liaising with colleagues, commissioners and clients as required.
6. Where required carry out condition surveys, dilapidation or specific surveys to provide information for stock condition/asset management system and/or to aid asset appraisal.
7. Prepare technical/feasibility reports and valuations, advising on options and recommendations in an advisory capacity.
8. Act as the single point of contact on specific electrical engineering issues across a range of clients.
9. Promote the competitive, efficient and effective delivery of electrical services installations which will support carbon reduction strategies.
10. Assist with maintaining and developing professional standards and practices.
