We have an exciting new opportunity for a Goods In/Goods Out & Stores Operative to join our Purchasing department based out of our Vantage Point, Snodland office, reporting into the Supply Chain & Logistics Manager. Position Summary: To efficiently manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring inventory accuracy and operational efficiency within the warehouse and storage facility. This role involves handling inbound goods, maintaining organised storage, utilising two ERP systems (M3 and Avante) for inventory tracking, managing third-party storage facilities, overseeing stock movements to support the smooth operation of the stores area, assist in the Quality check process and provide support in the despatch process within the ERP systems and haulier booking portals. Main duties and responsibilities: Maintain excellent material availability for daily production and despatch requirements Maintain stock transaction records to the highest accuracy and investigate/report/correct stock errors and anomalies Ensure timely receipt of incoming purchase orders and appropriate storage of goods Control stock entry to the Kardex ensuring stock levels match ERP (M3) Pick and issue parts to assembly lines following strict Process policies from Kardex, M3 or Avante Develop and support best practice in materials and stock control processes and techniques, including consignment and Kanban Execute stock take processes as required by the finance department Perform basic quality checks to inbound materials and work closely with QA department to co-ordinate segregation / return / replacement of non-conforming product Unload Vehicles in a timely manner Ensure all goods are labelled Work closely with the Despatch Department, using both Avante and M3 to ensure all transactions are complete and customer expectations are met Record and report department KPIs as required by the management team Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders Ensure the departments adheres to company policies and quality control procedures Actively represent the department as required both internally and externally, physically and virtually Experience: Stores activities Factory experience Qualifications/Education: IT skills computer literacy (knowledge of inventory management systems) WMS ERP Forklift / Reach Truck licence LI-NA1
