We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Band 5 HR Corporate Support Officer to join Viaduct Care.
The post holder will work as part of our busy, dynamic and friendly Corporate team here at Viaduct Care with the aim to provide high quality, effective and responsive support across the organisation.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide support to the HR service, ensuring that professional, proactive, comprehensive and effective first line HR advice and support is provided to colleagues and line managers throughout the organisation. In addition, the post holder will support the co-ordination and delivery of HR education and training provision across the organisation.
The role will include working across a wide portfolio of administrative work areas and performing a wide range of duties including creating documents in a variety of IT systems, maintaining office systems, databases, data processing and management relating to a range of functions.
Whilst being HR and OD focused, this role will also provide an effective and comprehensive communications administrative service to Viaduct Care. This may include supporting the wider Corporate team, supporting the management of projects, planning and coordination of meetings, maintaining stakeholder databases and engagement logs, updating web and intranet sites and distributing communications materials as required.

Job responsibilities
Human Resources
To advise managers on best practice recruitment and selection procedures and developing managers' knowledge and skills in the recruitment processes, employment legislation and interviewing skills.
Provide administrative support to the recruitment and selection process including undertaking pre-employment checks in line with Safer Recruitment procedures.
To lead on the co-ordination and implementation of a robust corporate and local induction process for new recruits.
To provide support to the HR&OD leads to ensure that the HR service provided is consistent within defined quality standards and all relevant policies and procedures in order to ensure the HR strategy, objectives and key performance indicators are implemented effectively across the organisation.
Responsible for first line HR advice, guiding and supporting staff and managers with the management of human resource issues including recruitment, attendance, performance management, disciplinary matters and grievances.
To support the HR&OD leads with the provision of appropriate, timely and effective advice and support to managers throughout formal investigations and at formal meetings in line with organisational standards and timescales.
To support the production of timely and accurate workforce information reports, including attendance, statutory and mandatory training, fixed term contracts, professional registrations and DBS audits.
To maintain and update internal HR information systems with sufficient and appropriate information.
To support organisational change initiatives, including staff consultation procedures and TUPE transfers, working in conjunction with the HR & OD Leads.
Deliver on HR&OD projects as determined by the HR&OD Leads.
Continuously review and seek improvements to HR processes, procedures and administration. Identify opportunities for enhancements to the HR and OD service provided or approaches to increase effectiveness and/or efficiency of the HR department in relation to the organisation's goals.
To support the co-ordination of training, education and development initiatives across the organisation; including overseeing staff compliance of Statutory and Mandatory training.
To provide support in the delivery of HR training in respect of HR policies and procedures, as required.
To be the first point of contact for a wide range of HR administrative matters, escalating queries appropriately.
Actively support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and guidelines to meet the needs and values of the organisation and the requirements of employment legislation and best practice.
To support the co-ordination and implementation of the organisation's Wellbeing and Engagement Plans and initiatives.
To co-ordinate Education, Training and Development opportunities at individual, service and organisational levels, ensuring robust systems and processes are in place for capturing and reporting relevant information.
To liaise with Service Leads to create and review Training Needs Analysis Plans.
To co-ordinate the organisation's EDI Group/Meetings ensuring agendas, papers and plans are maintained and actioned.
To liaise with the payroll department to ensure Payroll deadlines and actions are achieved.
To co-ordinate HR&OD communication and engagement priorities for both internal and external comms to colleagues and stakeholders, using software such as Canva, Microsoft Sway etc.
Corporate Team Support
Support to monitor generic inboxes and ensure timely responses to a range of internal and external enquiries.
Provide support in the absence of corporate support colleagues, such as occasional processing of invoices for payment via online banking.
To support and co-ordinate corporate team meetings and committees, taking minutes/notes/creating agendas and following up on actions etc.
Communication and Engagement
Support the communications team in the delivery of an effective press office including, handling media enquiries, and arranging media interviews, drafting press releases and responses, maintain an accurate record of all media enquiries.
Support the development of key documents and regular colleague and members newsletters and briefings maintaining high standards at all times.
Produce literature in keeping with the organisation's brand/identity to promote specific service developments for a range of stakeholders/customers.
To provide support with updates on both Viaduct Care's public website and intranet sites, including adding news articles and content ensuring that corporate information is kept up to date as required.
Develop correctly branded stationery templates for the organisation and act as a brand guardian, ensuring all colleagues use the correct materials.
Manage the generic communications email account and respond to/redirect all emails as appropriate.
Undertake social media communications on behalf of the organisation.
Undertake photography or video recording for events and for specific publications for the website.
Act as a support for colleagues on all communications and engagement issues.
Plan and organise project meetings, workshops and events as required.
Prepare all event and meeting documentation including informing people of their follow-up action points.
Support the organisation of engagement events and public meetings as required.
Work with the staff members with responsibility for engagement to develop and organise a schedule of visits to different Stockport community and voluntary sector groups.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Formal Education to NVQ Level 4 or Certificate of Higher Education level or equivalent or equivalent experience.
* CIPD qualification Level 5 or above or equivalent experience.
Experience
* Demonstrable experience of providing front line HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on conditions of employment and employee relation issues including attendance, performance management, grievance and disciplinary.
* Demonstrable experience in a Corporate/Project Support role.
* Demonstrable experience of co-ordinating and delivering education and training provision.
* Experience of using HR databases to record and access and report information.
* Experience of producing high quality and reliable reports and communications.
* Experience of writing for and engaging with different audiences.
* Knowledge/experience of using online media platforms to achieve objectives within communication campaigns.
Knowledge
* Good understanding of HR best practice and an up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation.
