Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children - Social Worker

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to undertake and promote the effective assessment of Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) including those in Age Assessment/Dispute. This should also encompass care planning, intervention, and review for UASC cases including children in need of being looked after and/or protection, including circumstances where it is necessary for the local authority to initiate legal proceedings to safeguard children and to further consider their immigration status. You will bring experience of managing a caseload of varying complexity and problems, and competing demands. You will have knowledge of legislation and case law in relation to UASC/age assessments and its application.

1. A relevant Social Work Qualification
2. Registration with Social Care Wales
3. Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
4. 3 years of referencing
5. Driving license with access to a car
