Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our progressive community midwifery services at the RSCH and PRH sites of UHSussex This position is predominantly for Team Leader of the Continuity of Care teams. To ensure woman and people accessing care from these teams receive high quality, contemporary and family centred services. To ensure the smooth day to day provision of care, encompassing National Agendas, to lead by example and provide clinical supervision. However, you will be working within the small team of community leaders and as such will be involved in the day to day running of community midwifery service in general. Our team leaders do cover the patch that is served by both RSCH and PRH hospitals, so cross-site working is required. The post holder will take overall responsibility for the CofC teams, working closely with other health professionals to ensure individual packages of care are created to maximise best practice. Oversee rostering, appraisals, annual leave requests and other HR related duties for the CofC teams. Work closely with Specialist midwives e.g. mental health midwives, safeguarding, diabetes to ensure good communication pathways to share information about service users whose needs span more than one speciality.
