About The Role
If you’re able to provide commercially sound financial support and analysis across a complex, fast paced business up to Executive level, we may just have the role for you.
We’re currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Business Partner who will challenge, deliver insight and support teams to ensure the best decisions are made, costs and processes optimised and to facilitate profitable sales growth. The role will also support our transformation programme, working with our Exec team supporting key initiative development and delivery programmes.
The Senior Finance Business Partner position offers hybrid working, with 2 to 3 days from home or in our head office in Hull each week.
Key Responsibilities
* Representing Finance at key business department leadership meetings and strategic initiative meetings.
* Managing and liaising with key stakeholders to manage their expectations and to drive the Finance agenda in the business, influencing at Ops board and Divisional Director level.
* Providing commercial finance support, insight and challenge to specified areas of the business.
* Timely and accurate production of all regular reporting, analysis and insight for assigned business functions including forecasting.
* Acting as a point of contact for assigned business functions and executives for queries relating to financial reports.
* Investigating unusual trends in information and highlighting financial sources of opportunity, driving forward key initiatives.
* Assessing commercial viability of investment opportunities and initiatives using business case and investment appraisal techniques.
* Ensuring benefits of initiatives are delivered by developing robust tracking and reporting procedures.
* Being an integral member of business management teams by attending regular business function management meetings to challenge and support thought processes.
* Supporting the forecast process within each business area.

Ideal Candidate
* Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with demonstrable commercial experience.
* Ability to demonstrate judgement, drive, visibility, impact and influence across the business, specifically with the Ops Board and Divisional Directors.
* Good knowledge of business strategy, structure, systems, processes and people.
* Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to deal with large volumes of data, to organise, analyse and present information in an easy-to-understand way with clear findings and recommendations.
* Ability to challenge assumptions and the status quo.
* Ability to work as a team and deliver to tight deadlines.
* Good knowledge of macroeconomic factors and how they affect business.
