Commercial Analyst Do you have strong technical skills, highly competent in a range of data analysis and visualisation tools? If so, we have an exciting opportunity here at EDF for a Commercial Analyst to join our team! The Opportunity As a Commercial Analyst in our EDF Business Solutions (EBS) team, you will be responsible for the creation and delivery of regular business performance reporting, including analysis and regular presentation of insights to your senior stakeholders. EBS is a top three player in our three core markets: Energy Supply, Power Purchase Agreements and Electricity Metering. We have an annual revenue of >£5bn and generate a positive EBIT. In EBS, we work collaboratively to make key business decisions and foster excellent working relationships across Customers, EDF Energy and with external stakeholders. What you’ll be doing In this role, you will be building and running forecasting models/processes to cover business segments within EBS and setting our targets in EBS’s medium term planning process. You’ll be mapping key commercial risks to delivery against our targets, and suggestions for potential action plans for managing these risks. You will feed into projects providing analysis of potential alternate sales and margin strategies to inform decision making for the appropriate direction for EBS going forward.Maintaining a strong working relationship with a range of senior stakeholders across EBS and our finance team will be essential in this role. Who you are We’re looking for someone with strong numerical/analytical skills and experience in building robust commercial models. You’ll have a track record of challenging the way things are done and coming up with innovative improvements. Knowledge of Tableau and advanced MS Excel are essential. You’ll be willing to take ownership and be accountable for the delivery of your objectives and will also have the ability to take decisions and effectively prioritise a diverse range of tasks.
