Senior Building Surveyor – Client side
We are currently representing a leading UK PropCo with a £2+ billion asset portfolio across the UK. They are an exceptional business with an investment, development and management focus and are currently looking for an MRICS Senior Building Surveyor to join the team in the London office overseeing their estate refurbishment projects.
Remuneration:
* £55,000 - £65,000 + leading benefits package + Bonus

The Role:
The Senior Building Surveyor will join a great team in one of the best offices in London and develop their career in a broad-spectrum role:
* Autonomy to lead a programme of works for their residential estate internal and external refurbishment projects valued between £5,000 and c. £200,000 within an annual £10 million CAPEX budget.
* Oversee external consultants on larger projects including fire safety and remediation valued up to £15 million
* Oversee commercial fit-out and wider landscaping projects valued between £500,000 and £1 million.
* Overseeing external surveyors on professional surveying including defect diagnosis, stock condition, technical due diligence and pre-acquisition surveys.
The majority of the projects are run under JCT contracts, and it would be advantageous if the Building Surveyor is tech savvy and has experience in compiling data for longer terms 10+ year planned preventative maintenance programmes. This position will report into the divisional head of estates development and offers excellent career progression either into an Associate Building Surveyor role or a lateral move within the business into the Development / Project Management division which is a rare and often sought after opportunity.

Requirements:
* MRICS qualified with a BSc in Building Surveying or property related degree
* 5+ years’ experience in building surveying preferably within the residential space with projects valued upto £2 million
* Professional surveying experience in latent defects, condition surveys and TDD
* Experience with JCT contracts, CDM, appointing and managing external consultants and advantageous if you have had experience in creating 10+ year PPM plans across estates.
