Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Assemby Operative to join our team in Albrighton. This role involves assembling and disassembling gearboxes for large commercial vehicles, such as lorries and JCBs. We offer a flexible approach to experience levels, with salaries reflecting your expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Gearbox Assembly: Build and repair gearboxes for large commercial vehicles.
2. Transmission Work: Perform tasks related to transmissions, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
3. Mechanical Tasks: Engage in various mechanical duties related to vehicle maintenance and repair.
Skills & Experience:
4. Transmissions Experience: Prior experience with transmissions and gearboxes, ideally for commercial vehicles.
5. Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills, potentially gained through professional experience or as a hobby mechanic.
6. Flexibility in Experience: We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience, from avid hobbyists to seasoned professionals.
Preferred Background:
7. Experience with companies like Babcock Rail, UTC (build line), Caterpillar, or JCB is highly desirable but not essential.
Qualifications:
8. No formal qualifications required, but relevant experience is essential.
Salary Details:
9. Experienced Professional: Up to £30,000
10. Intermediate Skill Level: £27,000 - £29,000
11. Hobbyist/Entry Level: £22,000 - £23,000
Additional Information:
12. Holiday: 23 days per year (3 days reserved for Christmas shutdown)
13. Overtime: Occasional, depending on workloads and deadlines
