About the area The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Directorate at UWA champions the safety, health, and wellbeing of all university staff, students, and visitors. About the opportunity Lead transformative injury management and prevention initiatives to support UWA’s commitment to a safe and healthy workplace. Collaborate closely with senior leadership to design and implement strategic policies that drive health and wellbeing priorities across the University. Provide expert consultancy on complex injury cases, facilitating effective return-to-work solutions and promoting sustained workplace health and recovery. About you Relevant qualifications as an allied health professional (e.g., Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Physiotherapy, or a related field). Advanced experience in managing complex injury cases, including both physical and psychological conditions, with a focus on achieving positive, sustainable outcomes. Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation legislation and best practices. Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to effectively advise, influence, and guide senior leadership. Demonstrated decision-making, organisational, and planning skills with a proactive approach to driving continuous improvement. Special Requirements: Current National Police Clearance Certificate.
