Principal Solutions Architect Mobility, Project Kuiper
DESCRIPTION
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Amazon Kuiper is looking for experienced, self-starter Business Development Leaders to drive adoption of Kuiper broadband and additional services with Mobile Operators. This is an exciting opportunity to own definition and execution of the Amazon Kuiper Business Development strategy in various regions around the world.
This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining any required export licenses or other approvals from the United States government. As such, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain any necessary export licenses or approvals based on their nationality, citizenship, and any other factors considered by the applicable export control regulations.
Key job responsibilities
1. Be the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and service capabilities.
2. Incubate and launch new solutions to enable outcomes customer use cases.
3. Drive a plan to ensure sales and partner readiness. Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product offerings and evolution.
4. Support Strategic Business Development.
5. Focus on complex deals and develop long-term strategic partnerships.
6. Contribute to Product Development Efforts: Work with R&D functions to help develop new specific product offerings.
7. Evangelize and educate about connected technology (e.g. workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).
8. Create and capture best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts).
9. Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching and mentoring others.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
2. Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications.
3. Experience in specific technology domain areas like software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data and analytics.
4. Experience with satellite, wireless or wired telecommunications and IP networking.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers.
2. Commercial and technical experience with broadband satellite communications.
