Finance Accounts Assistant- Salary circa £27,000

Join us at Aviva as a Finance Accounts Assistant and learn the intricacies of accounting for the GI (General Insurance) business and financial processes. You'll play a crucial role in closing Aviva GI books and records and supporting the financial control framework.
A bit about the job:
As part of the General Ledger Accounting and Financial Control team, you will handle several simple to complex manual journals, support balance sheet reconciliations, and perform controls. Your responsibilities will include preparing manual journals, reviewing and resolving issues on balance sheet, and operating controls within agreed deadlines within the financial control framework. You will report the outcomes of the controls performed and build a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end process, focusing on the downstream impact of your work.
You are expected to quickly grasp business and finance processes and systems, continuously improving the tasks assigned to ensure efficiency. Analysing high volumes of data with attention to detail, while also seeing the bigger picture and understanding key issues, is essential.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
* Finance and accounting knowledge (ideally studying towards a qualification, but not essential)
* Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
* Intermediate proficiency in Excel
* Analytical skills and curiosity mindset are necessary
* Working experience, with an added advantage if the experience is finance-related

* Salary circa £27,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
