Through a two-year training programme as Trainee Asset Inspector at Last Mile, youll gain hands-on experience across all utility connections and inspections in Last Miles Asset Adoption process, covering the full asset lifecycle from design to operations. Ensure accurate updates are made to business systems with the results. Provide Support and Guidance: Advise Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) on health, safety, environmental, and quality matters, while offering onsite support for their inquiries and best practice recommendations. Ensure Compliance and Safety: Conduct post-adoption regulatory inspections in line with industry standards, ensuring safe working practices are consistently maintained and liaising with upstream Distribution Network Operators as required. Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: Manage correspondence with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and meet onsite requirements. Deliver monthly reports detailing completed audits, issues identified, and emerging trends. Were looking for candidates who: Have a construction or engineering background (e.g., gas/water main layer, electrician, cable jointer, multi-utility operative) training and qualifications will be provided. Hold a full driving licence. Are self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative. Possess strong communication skills. Are willing to travel and work away when required.
