We are currently seeking to recruit a Supply Assurance Manager for a FTC to manage the supply assurance and support tenders for service providers and non-inventory items which could have an impact on food safety, authenticity or quality. Including, but not limited to; laundries, hygiene/cleaning chemicals, haulage, storage facilities, crate washers, PPE suppliers, calibration service providers and pest control. To manage the supply assurance of packaging suppliers. To audit packaging and service suppliers as required based on risk assessment. To be a values champion and work on activities to improve our Food Safety and Quality Culture. To support the Integrity Manager with VACCP and horizon scanning as required. Responsibilities: To support the development of our supply assurance strategy and set objectives and targets for the department. To be a subject matter expert (SME) in Foods Connected, CSS/SMILE and any other associated supply assurance systems. To ensure all packaging and non-inventory suppliers and service providers are compliant to the relevant standards and meet both Pilgrims Europe and our Customers requirements. To ensure all service providers and packaging suppliers are audited at the required frequency (as appliable) and in accordance with BRC, Customer and Pilgrims Europes requirements. To maintain supplier risk assessments and supplier certifications and other documentation on SMILE and/or Foods Connected or any other relevant systems. To audit and engage with our suppliers to ensure they meet our standards or to support them to reach the required standards (as applicable). To risk assess and regularly review suppliers suitability to supply. To set, maintain and review the audit standards/templates for non-food suppliers. To set, maintain and review the technical standards for non-food suppliers. To ensure all non-food supplier data is accurate and up-to-date on all relevant systems and to approve and add new suppliers as required. To train suppliers and sites on the use of supply assurance systems as required. EssentialCriteria: Excellent communication skills Must be very structured and disciplined in adherence to standards set. A strong attention to detail. Strong knowledge of BRC and customer requirements in relation to supply assurance. SME on Foods Connected and SMILE. Good auditing skills. Desirable Criteria: Experience of working in a Food Manufacturing environment >5 years. Knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Systems. 3rd Party auditor training and experience of auditing food and non-food manufacturing sites. Degree level qualification in a related discipline.
