Job Title: Information Security Consultant – Leeds (On-site)

This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a global enterprise of over 8,300 staff across more than 100 locations, and we are looking for an experienced Information Security Consultant to support and strengthen their IT Security operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Incident Management: Assist with identifying, managing, and responding to security incidents, ensuring a swift and effective resolution.
Security Monitoring: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly security checks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
User Support & Alerts: Handle security alerts and user inquiries, providing expert guidance on security-related issues.
Cyber Security Awareness: Raise awareness of cyber risks across the organisation, develop and implement security policies, and foster a culture of security best practices.
Risk & Vulnerability Management: Conduct vulnerability scanning, risk assessments, and manage security documentation to ensure continuous improvement in the security posture.
Disaster Recovery: Test and enhance disaster recovery plans, identifying potential gaps and driving necessary improvements.
Compliance & Policy Development: Support compliance with frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, and GDPR, ensuring data protection and security standards are maintained.
Training & Development: Develop training materials and deliver security training to staff, ensuring the entire organisation is equipped to manage security risks effectively.
Bid Support: Assist with completing security questionnaires and providing input for bid processes. Key Requirements:
Expertise in Microsoft 365 Security Solutions, including threat intelligence, incident response, and disaster recovery.
Solid understanding of Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, GDPR, and other data protection and security standards.
Experience in vulnerability scanning, risk management, and documentation.
Proven ability to identify and mitigate cyber risks, ensuring enhanced resilience across IT systems and applications. Additional Information:
Location: On-site in LS18, Leeds (with some flexibility for hybrid working after probation).
Salary: c£50,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience).
