We are looking for a product owner for our newly built client platform, Global Clearing. The role can be based in Manchester or Liverpool within the UK. The ideal candidate will have significant financial services experience within the banking industry, with a focus on one or more of the following disciplines:
1. Data Product - Expertise in data and analytics
2. Digital Product - Expertise in digital platforms (web, mobile, etc)
3. Technical Product – Expertise in technical platforms & market infrastructure
4. Financial Product – Expertise in clearing and settlement with investment banking
5. Experience/Service – Expertise in client journeys, channels, services
You will have an impact in the following ways:
1. Defining and prioritizing product backlog, collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, and working closely with the development team to ensure the successful delivery of the product.
2. Managing the product backlog and near-term roadmap ensuring that it is properly refined, prioritized, and groomed.
3. Owning user stories, refinement process, and Stakeholder Management (ongoing collaboration and updates).
4. Writing specs for minor features and contributing meaningfully to specs for major features.
5. Negotiating the implementation of current work, making the right trade-off decisions to launch products in a high-quality manner. Escalating to management as necessary.
6. Identifying and triaging issues with specific features, whilst understanding how multiple features are interrelated and catching more complex problems.
7. Defining proper measurement and instrumentation for a product to analyze results post-release/launch.
8. Partnering with manager to make recommendations on the right next steps for the feature.
9. Assessing the quality of existing UX to make recommendations on how to improve user experience.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

4. Organized, resourceful, and able to prioritize tasks.
5. Has an interest in constantly learning new tools and technologies and a passion to share your knowledge with the team.
6. Experience working in an agile environment.
7. Bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
8. Extensive experience in product and financial services experience.
