We would love to appoint suitably skilled, motivated, and caring people, to work with our children and young people who have disabilities in Wakefield's Short Breaks and Residential Services. You will either hold a NVQ3 / Diploma 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or be willing to work to achieve this qualification following appointment. We offer excellent induction, supervision, for all staff who work in our service. Our staff work a variety of shift patterns, including morning and evenings as well as weekends, waking nights and bank holidays. The service supports and cares for children and young people between the ages of five to seventeen and offer a variety of opportunities to all children, promoting their development within a caring understanding and supportive environment. We work closely with parent / carers and their families in achieving the best outcomes for children. We believe that it is important for all children and young people to participate or to be supported to participate, in a wide range of activities, in order to maximise their individual opportunities for personal growth and to have fun. The role is to work across the district for services for children with disabilities for both Short Breaks and Residential.
