The Creative Production Director will be responsible for the smooth running of a large number of projects and activations within the agency. They will be the light guiding the team towards the project’s success and ensure the client is always up to date and satisfied. WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH: Internal: CPD will lead on day-to-day management of their direct reporting Jr staff within the team, being accountable for their performance and providing them with learning and development opportunities. External: Various client teams, including senior level clients and directors (CPD may often need to lead on meetings with support from wider team). Suppliers who need specialist and experienced knowledge and who are integral to activation success such as set build, lighting, tech, stylists etc. Line manager: CPD will report into the senior leadership team. WHATS EXPECTED: Your duties are included but not limited to the below: TEAM & CLIENT SIDE: Leading and producing large-scale projects and activations within the agency. Leading and inspiring the team to ensure projects are delivered successfully on time and on budget from pitch to wrap stage. Signing off on project timelines, proposals, budgets and recons, on projects under £100k Managing the teams’ workload; ensuring projects are evenly distributed, and that each member is getting the chance to take on new challenges whilst being supported. Supervising relevant project workflow management (CRM/Asana/Timesheets.) Supervising client communication throughout the project, ensuring there’s a good mix of emails, calls and f2f meetings to develop good relationships, get good quality feedback and not to overload or underwhelm clients Responsible for management of all suppliers, including cost negotiations Onsite management (UK and sometimes abroad) when required making sure projects run to plan and client/s are well looked after, and the team are solving any issues as they arise. Making senior decisions on client accounts with the company’s best interests and future business objectives in mind Line management of a project team feeding in on their goal setting, appraisals, training and development. Expert training and coaching the team where needed across; project management, deck writing, budgeting, jargon, best ways of working with any tips and tricks as you go. Ensuring consistency & quality of projects and improving efficiencies within the team. Post event evaluation of all projects (lead by the producer) – working out where we can do better next time and collating reports and actioning any feedback. Steering the team to book onto culture activities and other team bonding and/or learning ops. Making sure all projects are wrapped properly - reconcilled, website, blog, client wrap report saved etc. BUSINESS SIDE: Having a huge input into the company culture, the way we work, the work we create and the general day to day atmosphere and aspirations of the business. Involved with resourcing - including interviewing new recruits and managing of freelance staff and making recommendations for any full-time staff that might need to be recruited for by the Studio Manager and snr leadership team. Identifying opportunities for new systems to simply and speed up the way we do things – leaving us more time to focus on creating great events. Preparation of proposals and pitching for new business – and working out how we can do this in an elevated way to impress ideally with samples and 3D elements to touch and feel – i.e. papers / fabrics / F&B samples. Recognising and proactively seeking new opportunities. Ensure annual profit targets are met through close management of teams and suppliers and client budgets Supporting Leadership Team in the day to day running of the agency. Proposing and pushing sustainable and responsible event options. Speaking to RAMs and insurance suppliers on jobs which may require specific consultation. Ensuring a smooth office running of day-to-day storage and management SALARY & TIME COMMITMENT This role is predominately office based (we imagine at least 2/3rds of your time would be in the office) and we are ideally looking for someone to work full time. WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE DONE BEFORE: To be considered for this position we are looking for candidates with 10 years min experience working within an event or experiential agency. We are looking for experience in delivering integrated campaigns involving events, knowledge of the whole production process and the ability to interpret a brand and develop creative concepts that exceed expectations.
