Position: Senior Finance Business Partner
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £45,518.00 rising to £49,668 with biennial increments (Grade 5)
Location: Hybrid working with an office base at our Cheadle central office, Stockport
Reporting to: Head of Finance
Role Overview: Supporting the Head of Finance, you will deliver a robust financial management and information service to the Trust. You will support the stewardship of funds, ensure efficient and effective use of budgets, and play a key role in transformational change. Your role is to protect, drive, and add value to the financial resources of the Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a small team to achieve outstanding results.
* Support the Head of Finance in the digital transformation of financial systems and processes, focusing on income management systems and other finance areas.
* Provide strategic financial support to Senior Leadership, offering constructive challenge and financial analysis to enable decision-making.
* Prepare business cases and post-implementation reviews for key investments or new services.
* Advise on income budgets across the Trust, challenging forecasts to ensure robustness and protecting the Trust’s financial resources.
* Develop and provide business analytics throughout the Trust’s operations.
* Develop and drive KPI reports.
* Support the Head of Finance with the annual audit.
* Partner with budget holders, analysing recorded and forecast income, and identifying variances to budget.
About You:
* Master’s level qualification in accountancy or relevant experience, together with a fully completed chartered professional accountant qualification with a recognised accounting body (e.g., CIMA/ACCA).
* Significant experience in a management accounting or strategic finance role, providing high-quality financial support and advice.
* Strong system of credit control and working capital management to ensure timely billing and collection of fees.
* Ability to discuss financial information and concepts clearly with staff who have limited financial knowledge.
* Skilled in developing management information reports to meet service demands.
* Ability to work as part of a team, contributing to the effectiveness and efficiency of the Trust.
